Do you suffer from parental bias like one of the two baby birds below?

As the link says... so click on it!

Well get over it! Who cares if you're suffering because you have been victimized your whole life?  Not us! Get over it! Make some obvious choices in your life, and quit blaming others for your being a schlemiel!

It's your fault... get off your duff and get on with your life!

Where, what, who, why, when and what is Stavelot? Une ville francophone de la Belgique. It's in French ...

How does the Weather in Stavelot compare with that in Washington, DC ?

What's your dollar worth here ?

Or... try this link to my old pages on Stavelot. Not quite complete, but, who is?

l'Hôtel du Perron - circa 1928 - Stavelot, Belgium

It may be that the hand painted sign on the roof ... "HOTEL DU PERRON" suggests a less than 5 Stars establishment . . .
Nevertheless, guests did in fact stay here, and in one of the 10 rooms available at nightly, weekly or monthly rates. While the lightening arrestors and sign on the roof (and over the entrance door) are now gone, the house is still very much present.  Also present, the influence of the original builder in 1870 (the house was redone by combining two 17th century houses that had twice the number of floors - obviously each much lower), and the owners since...  Gillard the tannery owner, then Edouard Wetz, then his children, followed by his grandchildren... found a base here. Something to return to. When the modern day world gets to be confusing, chaotic and simply tiring, one can rebuild and restore here; mostly by letting the house and its surroundings work its way into you. For maybe 10 or 12 years, before WWII, during late June to early September, most rooms were taken, and the meals prepared by grandmother Susanne were rarely skipped. The wood or coal-burning furnace in the basement pushed hot air up to the first and second floors and is stamped  Patented 1862 in Verviers.    Home - Hotel.
